Weekday Group is a trading name of Marketing System Solutions Pty Ltd (ACN 677 165 981) (“Weekday”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information in the course of our business, and how you can access or correct information we hold about you.

We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions, including:

  • Contact and enquiry information you provide directly — name, email address, phone number, company name and role, and the content of any enquiry, brief or message you send us through our website, email, or in person.
  • Client and prospective-client information arising from our business relationships — including information referred to us by business partners or associates in the ordinary course of business development.
  • Publicly available business contact information: business contact details that organisations publish themselves, such as an email address on a business website or Google Business Profile, collected from those publicly available sources for business development.
  • Website usage information collected automatically — browser type, device information, IP address, and pages visited, gathered via cookies and analytics tools.

2. How we collect it

Most personal information is collected directly from you when you contact us, engage our services, or interact with our website. In some cases, we receive personal information from a third party — for example, a business referral or introduction — rather than directly from you. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make you aware of this policy and how your information is being handled, as soon as practicable. We may also collect business contact details from publicly available sources, such as business websites and listings. When we first contact you using details collected this way, we tell you where we found them and how to opt out.

3. How we use it

  • manage and deliver our client relationships;

4. Who we share it with

We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate our business, including our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, our email and productivity tools, and our website analytics providers. These providers are only permitted to use personal information for the purposes we’ve engaged them for.

Some of these providers — including our CRM and our email and analytics tools — store data on servers located outside Australia, such as in the United States. We also engage an authorised contractor team based in the Philippines, who may assist us across a range of website, technical, creative, and other project-related work. Their access is limited to what is reasonably necessary for that work, and personal information is not passed on by them beyond their engagement with Weekday.

By providing your information, you consent to this overseas storage and access, which we take reasonable steps to ensure is handled securely.

We will otherwise only disclose personal information where required by law.

5. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure storage with our service providers.

6. Access, correction, and deletion

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or an exported copy of the personal information we hold about you, by contacting us using the details below. You can also ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable time. This does not apply to information we’re required to keep for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep personal information only for as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law — for example, financial records are retained for the period required under Australian tax law. Where information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
